Honey Grove is a city in Fannin County, Texas, United States. Honey Grove is regarded as "The Sweetest Town in Texas." The population was 1,668 at the 2010 census.
It is a small North Central Texas town (population: 1,903 as of 2007), containing a total land area of approximately 1,972.8 acres (7.984 km2), and located roughly 16 miles (26 km) east of Bonham, 39 miles (63 km) north of Greenville, 42 miles (68 km) east of Sherman, and 90 miles (140 km) northeast of the Central Business District of Dallas. Honey Grove was developed on flat to gently rolling terrain with scattered trees. It is located in Fannin County the City is at an elevation ranging from approximate 580 to 690 feet (180 to 210 m) above sea level. U.S. Highway 82 and State Highway 56 traverse the City from east to west and State Roads 34, 100 and 824 enter the City in a north/south manner. Bonham is the closest major economic center.
