Having lived out-west most of my life (Alaska, California, Arizona, Idaho, Nevada and Utah), I am no stranger to cultural diversity and extreme climate change. I only wish it hadn't taken me so long to find Texas! I moved to Brenham in March of 2017 where I absolutely fell in love with the warm weather and southern charm! Outside of family and career, I enjoy an active lifestyle that includes swimming, hunting and fishing just to name a few of my hobbies. I began my real estate career in 2006 in Elko, Nevada and discovered my vocational passion. Susan Schulenberg Kiel, Broker/Owner of Market Realty, Inc, With 15+ years working in real estate Susan enjoys helping others find their place in the country, the city or in between and devotes everything she has to representing her clients interests. Susan was born and raised in the rural Burton area of Washington County on a small cattle ranch and is a graduate of Burton High School, Blinn College, and Texas A&M University. Susan grew up in the country and in the construction business with a contractor/father and spent many weekends and summers doing all kinds of work, from roofing to painting, fixing fence and feeding cattle. After college, she worked two years at UT- Austin then returned to Washington County and learned to build cabinets. For the next five years, she designed, built and installed custom cabinetry. She obtained her real estate salesperson license in 2006, and her Broker's license in 2010. Susan bought the company in January 2022 from Roger Chambers.
