Commercial Experience

Staring in 2004, I moved the family to Houston and became the Advertising & Marketing Coordinator for Christian Brothers Automotive (CBA), responsible for creating and monitoring advertising efforts for 35 + franchise locations in Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Tennessee, Missouri, & Georgia. In late 2004, my responsibilities at CBA shifted gradually away from Advertising & Marketing into assisting CBA leadership in franchise project management & land acquisition. Ultimately being named Vice-President of Real Estate and founding Hovis Properties in 2006. Serving and leading the internal real estate process for CBA while simultaneously acting as a broker/contractor/consultant on all CBA projects led to the development of my passions and gave me unique insight into how to better select real estate to maximize CBA's brand presence. During my time on CBA Leadership Team, I was responsible for national strategic market growth and land acquisition and oversaw $200,000,000 in CBA real estate development in 24 states. During my 11 years at CBA not a single location developed by my team has closed its doors. We're your go to source for representation and development in Houston, Texas, and across the USA.

Personal

My wife and I attend BridgePoint Bible Church in West Houston and together we facilitate Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University and sit on the board of YoungLife Katy. We have three beautiful kids!

Shannon Corbett has lived in Houston for 20 years. She loves working with buyers and sellers in all areas of real estate including new construction, resale of existing homes, lot sales, scrapers, high rise condominiums, or town homes. Shannon grew up in a rural farming community which gave her a strong foundation with good work ethics and moral background as a result. After attending college in Austin, Shannon learned about artistic expression and added that to her repetoire. Her husband is a first generation American who grew up in Houston giving her an understanding of what it is like to live the "American Dream." A few years after they were married, they decided to call Houston home. That was 20 years ago. As Shannon put it, "I love Houston! It is big city with a friendly atmosphere much like that of a smaller town. The vastness of Houston, the variety of industry and the multicultural population all work together to keep Houston a vibrant city for both living and working. Houstonians generously support the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo each year in addition to supporting the arts, sports teams, and an infinite number of philanthropies through out our community. Shannon has been involved with the greater Houston area Real Estate industry since 2001 when she and her husband started their own residential land development company. From there Shannon became interested in working with the people who were buying the homes in their developments and became a Realtor. This experience gives her a broad perspective and knowledge of the many facets of residential real estate in Houston and the surrounding areas.

Shannon, involved with many charities and the Junior League of Houston, really knows her way around Houston. Additionally, she is a parent supporter of Choate Rosemary Hall (Connecticut), Episcopal High School (Houston), Barnard College/Columbia University (New York City) and the University of Texas (Austin) giving her knowledge that extends beyond the Houston area. In her spare time she loves to visit museums, volunteer, travel and read.
