In 2002, Grant King began selling new construction in Pearland, TX. Fascinated by the construction process, Grant soon learned the key to closing homes for the builder was to proactively walk the job sites each morning, then to focus on marketing the product and development to the Pearland community. Combining this proactive mindset with his strong desire to help people, Grant consistently earned recognition in the company's Elite group of sales counselors and discovered what would be the foundation of his real estate career.

In 2010, Grant decided he could help more people by transitioning to residential real estate. A native Houstonian, Shawn attended Tulane University and graduated with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering and later received his MBA with concentrations in Finance and Management.
