Margaret grew up in Manassas, VA. She graduated from George Mason University with a BA degree in Mathematics. Margaret and her husband have three children and a grandson.

Margaret started her real estate career in 2005 in Delaware. In 2006, her family moved to North Carolina where she earned her real estate license in North Carolina and Virginia.
