Send emailA personal note to prospective clients; 25 Years ago I arrived in this glorious place called The Woodlands, TX...to continue serving in the USAF/Air National Guard and start my career in Nutritional medicine with MD Anderson. Many said I would like it; they now know I LOVE IT! It is the first time in my life I felt like I was home! That is a very important statement as I myself was homeless as a runaway teenager. Many helpful folks opened their homes to me and allowed me to serve in anyway I could to "EARN" my rent or living space. Sometimes it was just a closet. I could not have been more grateful for a warm place to sleep and all the life skills learned about home repair and remedy. I have put all into my now 15 year real estate career. As an individual with no paid leads or a team to refer I have closed over 42 million with only the last 8 years being a full time agent. I have found my riches....IN THE PEOPLE I have served and get to call friends! My name really is Odessa and, suits me well in this awesome state of TEXAS! As a single mother for almost 20 years it is my clients who allowed me to raise my my son and daughter and see them off to their respective colleges. Our life here grew in ways I never dreamed! The amazing schools and kind neighbors and generous community made our life here so full and rewarding. I want to pass this same experience on to my buyers, sellers, and leasing clients. A home is not a home because of its room dimensions or the color of the walls. The love my client creates inside those walls, is what we look for. It is my favorite part of any contract...when they call you and say, WE JUST LOVE IT HERE. Or, Odessa, this investment has truly paid off! Working with an agent is your best asset. Kristen Porter graduated from Texas Christian University. She majored in Marketing, Entrepreneurial Management and minored in Spanish with abroad experience in Mexico. Kristen's family has been a member of the community since 1988 and has a love for the area and real estate.

I earned my professional license in July 2015 and started her new venture at Keller Williams, The Woodlands and Magnolia in August 2015. In my first year, I came out swinging. I was the KW the Woodlands and Magnolia 2016 "Rookie of the Year," and was invited to the Agency Leadership Council, an honor only given to those who are nominated by their peers. Six months into my career, I was nominated for the Eagle Award, which is one of the highest awards for any real estate agent. I was also welcomed into the KW President's Circle in 2017, and from the start has been in the top three in individual volume, listings, and closed units for KW the Woodlands and Magnolia. In 2018, I was No. 1 in closed units, which is yet another major milestone. In early 2020 I made an exciting and big change to move my team to RE/MAX The Woodlands & Spring which within their first two years at RE/MAX they've accomplished Texas Top 500 in both 2020 and 2021, and was also awarded Platinum Club in 2020. I continue to grow my team and have expanded into Austin and Dallas Texas.

I'm a born and raised Texan from Fort Worth. My studies took me to Arizona (ASU) and then across the pond to Regensberg, Germany. After college, life took me to many places to visit and live all over the United States, other Continents, and I have the travel bug and love new frontiers. If you were born here, live here, or are considering it you understand the draw to all of the unique towns and cities with different cultures it has to offer. That is why no matter where I go, I always come home to Texas. My love of Real Estate, architecture and the little nuances that make every property unique were a big part of my decision to change directions and get into the business as a sales agent years ago.
