Cara has the added benefit of being an experienced attorney who learned negotiation, legal advocacy, and calm under pressure as a Harris Country Assistant District Attorney and later as a criminal defense attorney. Cara is married with three small children. She is active in both The Parish School and St. Martin’s Episcopal Preschool, where her children attend, as well as in her neighborhood church. She is a self-proclaimed “foodie” and takes full advantage of the Houston restaurant scene. Cara is a graduate of The University of Houston with degrees in Psychology and Political Science. She also has a law degree from The University of Houston Law Center.

Shirley is a native Houstonian but has called Lake Conroe home for the past 30 years. Prior to real estate, Shirley owned and operated a military packaging company for nearly two decades. Working with the directly with the military, she knows how important and imperative attention to detail, timing and excellent customer service are when creating long lasting relationships. This experience carries over to her career in real estate. During her first year in real estate in 2008 she was honored with the title "Rookie of the Year by her first real estate firm." Shirley's efforts serving her community extends far beyond providing top notch representation when a client is looking to buy or sell a property. She took a step back from being a active Realtor® for a couple of years that did not stop her from staying on top of the Real Estate Industry. Charis learned that life lesson at an early age when, as one of three concurrent jobs, she worked as a steamer in women's apparel at the Dallas Market Center. She stuck with it and worked her way up, becoming a full-time manager and assistant buyer. "Looking back, I love that I started that way," she says. "It taught me all sides of the business and I was able and willing to do more than the average manager." After 10 years in the retail industry, Charis decided to transition into real estate sales, a career change that capitalized on her marketing and customer service expertise. "I chose to work at Greenwood King Properties because it's a local, woman-owned business with a 'team-player' atmosphere that I very much respect." Patience is one of Charis's virtues and being of service to others gives her joy and purpose. She sources her business through a network of personal and professional contacts, social media, hand-written letters, and neighborhood flyers. She especially enjoys helping first-time home buyers find the right neighborhood with the right house, and growing families to sell their home and find "the next step up."
