While earning a bachelor's degree in Art from Houston Baptist University, I further developed my creativity which I have applied to my work with preschool and elementary-aged children. During this time, I also enjoyed coaching high school volleyball at Houston Christian High School. As I completed both my Master's in Counseling from Houston Baptist University and my Master's in Social Work from the University of Houston, I developed keen active listening skills, effective communication strategies, an increased awareness of the needs of others, and a strengths-based approach to working with people. In addition, I earned my PhD in Social Work from the University of Houston while I continued to become more detail-oriented as I analyzed statistical data and developed relevant theoretical perspectives. Since graduation, I have served as a college professor and have thoroughly enjoyed seeing students thrive in this environment. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and my rescue pets. I love volunteering for social service organizations, trying new recipes, creating art, and traveling. And, by birth, I am an LSU football fan. Stemming from the various degrees that I have earned, my multiple, relevant work experiences will serve as invaluable assets in my work with you. Each of these experiences has been woven together to make me a multi-faceted agent who will be able to listen attentively to your needs and provide genuine heartfelt care and service throughout this process. I was not born in Texas but I moved here as soon as I could 22 years ago! I live in the Magnolia area but I have large stomping grounds where I love to work and play in Waller, Grimes, Montgomery, Harris and Galveston Counties. Prior to real estate I was employed on a fishing vessel in the Bering Sea where I worked 84 hours a week. This experience taught me to persevere through all storms. As a widow, I have turned my pain into my purpose and become a Certified Probate Expert.
