Lucy Carrillo has been living in Houston since 1995, which has permitted her to see the City of Houston and surrounding areas grow and develop in all aspects. She has an extensive experience in Office Management, Social Services and Customer Service that makes her a great advocate for her Real Estate clients. Her commitment to serve has allowed her to become a Notary Public in and for the State of Texas, as well as a certified interpreter by the Texas Depart of Human Services with the ability to speak, read and write Spanish and English fluently. As a resident of the Houston area for 30+ years, I have an unparalleled love for and familiarity with the city and its surrounding areas. While earning a bachelor's degree in Art from Houston Baptist University, I further developed my creativity which I have applied to my work with preschool and elementary-aged children. During this time, I also enjoyed coaching high school volleyball at Houston Christian High School. As I completed both my Master's in Counseling from Houston Baptist University and my Master's in Social Work from the University of Houston, I developed keen active listening skills, effective communication strategies, an increased awareness of the needs of others, and a strengths-based approach to working with people. In addition, I earned my PhD in Social Work from the University of Houston while I continued to become more detail-oriented as I analyzed statistical data and developed relevant theoretical perspectives. Since graduation, I have served as a college professor and have thoroughly enjoyed seeing students thrive in this environment. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and my rescue pets. I love volunteering for social service organizations, trying new recipes, creating art, and traveling. And, by birth, I am an LSU football fan. Stemming from the various degrees that I have earned, my multiple, relevant work experiences will serve as invaluable assets in my work with you. Each of these experiences has been woven together to make me a multi-faceted agent who will be able to listen attentively to your needs and provide genuine heartfelt care and service throughout this process.
