The dinner sold for $16,000 and was such a popular auction item that Carlo sold a second tasting dinner for the same price – a welcome windfall for Krist. In 2014, Carlo and his partner chaired the Krist gala and helped raise a record $400,000 for the event.
A native of North Bay, Ontario, Canada, Carlo speaks conversational French and holds a degree in urban geography from York University in Toronto. A fitness buff and runner, he ran track throughout his school years, winning a bronze medal at the Canadian Junior Track and Field Championships and then four more bronze medals at the Canadian University Championships. Prior to his career in residential real estate sales, Carlo was a personal trainer and credits those one-on-one experiences with honing his skills in reading people, communicating, and paying attention to details, no matter how small.
When his busy schedule permits, Carlo loves to cook extravagant dinners for his many friends. Travel is his passion, having once been a music producer and club DJ who traveled the world.

Luisana Vazquez Oelfke is a native Houstonian and a proud University of Houston Cougar.
