While juggling a full work schedule, Emelie finds time to give back to the community. She volunteers for HOPE, Houston's Homeless & Orphaned Pets Endeavor, the American Cancer Society, and the Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center.
Emelie attended the High School for Performing and Visual Arts for dance as well as Mirabeau B. Lamar High School. She received a BA in communications, with an emphasis in public relations and marketing, from the University of Houston.

She is vested in giving back to her city, donating time with multiple non-profit agencies. In her free time, Hillory enjoys cycling (having completed the MS150), running, swimming, and cooking.
