Tracy Glesby Northington is a Residential Real Estate Broker who has never met a stranger. Positive attitude exudes from her personality and shows through her hard work. After many years learning the real estate business top to bottom, she has formed her own Brokerage, Glesby Fine Properties. Everyone she meets feels comfortable with her. Tracy is a fourth generation Houstonian and owns a home in the Hunters Creek. She is an alumna of Episcopal High School, Southern Methodist University (SMU), and Kappa Kappa Gamma. Serving on the advisory board for the Children's Museum of Houston, Amegy Development Board, the Menil Contemporaries Steering Committee, and the Mutton Bustin Committee at Houston Live Stock Show and Rodeo are passions of hers. Her family cares deeply in supporting the Arts and PJ Library. She is active in her high school and college alumni groups, Houston Zoo, Houston Junior League, and HMNS Catalysts.
Her specialty is homes primarily inside the loop and a touch outside. Afton Oaks, Highland Village, Briargrove, Tanglewood, Galleria area, Memorial, Rice Military, Larchmont, Spring Branch, Midtown, Upper Kirby, West U, Lazybrook, Heights, and Garden Oaks/Oak Forest tend to be her stomping grounds. Not surprisingly, Ginny's first real estate clients in 2005 were also construction clients since she was the only one they could trust as their Realtor. This experience goes hand-in-hand with why Ginny joined Martha Turner Sothebys; she wanted to work with a company that was a first-class organization with an excellent reputation. Ginny specializes in residential resale (with, of course, a bent toward remodeling and color consulting), town homes and new construction. Wei listens carefully to her clients in order to really understand their needs. She is patient with her buyers, understanding that it often takes time to find just the right house. “We have fun finding their dream home together,” says Wei.
Prior to her successful career in residential real estate, Wei was a registered dietician, taught Chinese cooking and owned a travel agency. She earned her real estate sales license in 2000.
Wei obtained a Master of Science degree from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. She and her husband are long-time Houston residents and have two grown children who graduated from St. John's School. Both are physicians married to physicians.
When not working, Wei volunteers for Houston Arboretum, Houston Botanic Garden and Boulder Valley School District. She volunteered for The Enlightening Educational Program before 2014. EEP has built more than 1,000 schools in remote Chinese villages since 1992 and provides financial aid to needy children. Eligibility is not based on academic performance, Wei says, because "EEP wishes to give many of these children an opportunity to 'catch up'." Volunteers pay for their own flights, hotels, and daily needs. There are no administrative expenses and all donations go to the schools and the children.
Wei’s greatest pleasure is visiting her five grandchildren in Boulder, CO. They call us “flying maid,” Wei laughs, “as we fly there as often as we can.”
