Mike has volunteered as an in-home Hospice patient volunteer for more than eight years. He has been a baseball and softball coach as well as serving as a board member for the local Little League. He also volunteered for 10 years with the Houston Marathon's Elite Athlete Committee.

When not working, he enjoys attending Astro and Texans games. He is an adamant outdoorsman, with a love for fishing and playing golf.
