Carlene Johnson is an Air Force Veteran, conscientious Realtor®, Realtist, Certified Divorce Real Estate Expert™ (CDRE®) and President of the Houston, TX Chapter of the Veterans Association of Real Estate Professionals (VAREP). As a CDRE®, she uses her extensive background and experience within the family law courts to serve as an accredited service provider to families and family law practitioners who need a properly trained neutral 3rd party Realtor®. For couples who need to amicably resolve their unique divorce realty asset situation, her expertise helps reduce the expense of litigation through effective communication with both parties resulting in minimal counsel involvement. Carlene's involvement in VAREP Houston, the Houston Regional Veterans Chamber of Commerce and numerous other military and Veteran focused organization speaks to her passion for advocacy and education for the military and Veteran community.



Carlene Johnson was born in Jamaica, W. I. and is an honorably discharged U. S. Air Force Desert Storm Combat Veteran. In September 2006 she became the first black woman, hired by a Harris County elected Family Law Judge, to serve as a Family Court Coordinator. October 2018, she became the first black Certified Divorce Real Estate Expert™. May 2021, she became the first female President of the Houston, TX Chapter of Veterans Association of Real Estate Professionals.

Over the years, I have developed a very unique and dynamic residential home selling and marketing system. Regardless of the size or condition of the home, we work with homeowners to develop and implement a strategic marketing plan based on our buyer target market. Having bought and sold over 100 homes myself, my goal is to put the most money in your pocket, whether you are buying or selling. I grew up in Texas and attended high school at Hockaday in Dallas. I studied International Relations at the University of Southern California. After spending a few years working in International Finance for Charles Schwab in San Francisco and then Lehman Brothers in New York and Hong Kong, I went onto obtain a Master degree in International Economics at Johns Hopkins University in Washington DC. It was in Washington DC, when I decided to launch a career in real estate, mostly buying and selling pre-foreclosure homes. When I returned to Houston, I decided to take my skillsets in scoring great deals in real estate and utilize these to help homeowners sell their homes for top dollar and buy homes for a great price. I'm a hard worker, a constant communicator, and a strategic problem solver when it comes to working for my clients. I love what I do and can't imagine doing anything else. Becky enjoys the hunt of finding the best home for her clients and the thrill of selling her listings. She has been a Top Producer at Greenwood King for 10 years. Originally from Ohio, Becky has lived in Houston for 23 years. She has a degree in Civil Engineering and a MBA in Finance. She previously worked for Prudential Realty Group in commercial real estate lending, and for Owens Corning Fiberglas in industrial sales.

Her experience and analytical skills give her a depth of understanding of the markets. Her passion is using that market knowledge to help her clients in their home search or when it's time to sell.

Her expertise negotiating contracts is complimented by her attention to detail, focus and energy. Recognizing and accentuating the unique attributes of each of her listings, Becky has the expertise and resources to stage, professionally photograph, advertise and promote your home to the widest audience of buyers. Her knowledge of the features buyers are looking for in today's market helps position sellers to maximize the value of their home.

She lives in Memorial and was very involved in her children's SBISD schools. At Frostwood Elementary she served as PTA President, VP Underwriting and Carnival Food Chair. Becky was awarded PTA Lifetime Membership and Spring Branch ISD Good Neighbor Award. Becky and her family are active members of Tallowood Baptist Church, where she serves in the Celebrate Recovery ministry. She currently serves on her neighborhood HOA board, Sandalwood Civic Club.
