A native Houstonian, I graduated from The University of Houston where I earned a bachelor degree in marketing. After 10 successful years in radio advertising sales, I entered the real estate market in 2006 with enthusiasm. My real estate career started with an internship at a local commercial firm in Houston. Following that internship, I moved to a boutique brokerage until I found my home with Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate in February 2013. It’s been an amazing journey and am excited to align myself with a well respected brand like Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate. I have found a way to translate my love of people and my knowledge of the real estate market into a successful career. I’m always eager to match individuals and families with their ideal property. In a market that will always be about service, knowledge and commitment, I dedicate myself to providing the very best in Real Estate. I have the desire to represent my clients fairly and aggressively and to pursue creative solutions with the utmost integrity. In my spare time, I enjoy my family and the outdoors. Richard Orellana, Houston native has been a Texas-certified CPA since 1998.  He holds a BBA in Accounting and Finance from the University of Houston.  His genuine interest in helping others doesn't end with business, either as he has passion for volunteering and giving back to our community.  

Richard hosts an annual Diaper Drive in December for the Houston Area Women's Center which has collected just over 265,000 Diapers since 2013.  He led the team that initiated an annual event at the Houston Food Bank in honor of the 9/11 National Day of Service that by its 5th year reached over 1,000 volunteers on one day.  He has served on the United Way Young Leaders Council and is a graduate of the UW Project Blueprint program.  He has served on the Board of Directors for the UH Bauer College Alumni Association, UH Hispanic Alumni Association and ALPFA - Association of Latino Professionals in Finance and Accounting and chaired the Public Relations Committee for the Houston CPA Society.  He has mentored several UH students through the UH Hispanic Business Student Association (HBSA) Mentorship Program.  He has served in many volunteer capacities for various nonprofits including (Big Brothers and Big Sisters, I Have a Dream, Ronald McDonald House) and a court appointed advocate for Child Advocates.  He has also completed numerous marathons and 2 Ironman Triathlons.
