Ray began his legendary real estate career in the early 1980s buying, selling, and managing property with his family and some friends. Originally from Beaumont, Texas, Ray grew up in the Bahamas and arrived in Houston after graduating from the prestigious Texas A&M University. Through the years he has worked in all facets of commercial and residential real estate.



In the early 1990s he opened his namesake, Ray Allison, Realtors® in the Montrose area of Houston, Texas. In 2003, Ray joined forces with a longtime good friend, Mike Spear, another highly successful Houston Realtor®. Together they established AllisonSpear.com, Realtors® on Kirby Drive in the River Oaks area of Houston, which was bought out by Prudential Gary Greene Realtors® in the mid 2000s. After managing the Inner Loop office for several years, in late 2000s, the Partners of Gary Greene asked Ray to head up their new Commercial Real Estate Division which he has done until recently. 2024 Has seen Ray come back to his namesake Ray Allison, Realtors®

Ray enjoys commercial landlord and tenant representation work and has relocated most of the 20+ Gary Greene offices. He is also involved in direct sales, and the managing of a brokerage firm - a couple of offices with 100+ agents. Laura Lee's three children range in age from an Internal Medicine resident in San Diego, to a film maker based in Paris, to a freshman at Strake Jesuit.
