Cathy Scherer brings solid marketing experience to her successful practice of real estate. Cathy began her real estate career in 2003 and joined Bernstein Realty in 2018. As a resident of the Houston area for over 35 years, she is familiar with all of the neighborhoods in the Houston metropolitan area.

Born in New York City, Cathy went to junior high and high school in Houston and graduated from the University of Texas with a BA in Marketing. After graduation, she trained as a buyer for a national high-end retailer and worked in New York City and Los Angeles for 10 years, before taking her business, buying and negotiation skills to the real estate industry.
Cathy grew up in the Memorial area, raised her children in Bellaire and is currently residing in the Galleria area. As a mother of two daughters who attended Bellaire High School Cathy was very involved in the PTO and the girls' volleyball teams both at school and with traveling club teams. One daughter is currently living in Los Angeles and the other is currently living in Houston working in the residential mortgage business. When not working, Cathy enjoys going to Memorial Park, being involved with fitness, spending time with her dog and going to numerous cultural and sporting events happening in Houston.

Living in West Houston for the past forty plus years, I have personally experienced the gradual growth and development of various parts of the Houston Metropolitan area. Managing my family's real estate investment company and overlooking more than 30 properties in Houston, Katy, and Conroe gave me the opportunity to be exposed to the real estate market conditions during its highs and lows. In pursuit of my passion for architecture, I received my Master's Degree in Architecture from Texas A&M University in 1988. In 2013, I transitioned back into the real estate business, joining RE/MAX Westside Realtors, and later REALM Real Estate Professionals in 2016.
