Richard hosts an annual Diaper Drive in December for the Houston Area Women's Center which has collected just over 265,000 Diapers since 2013. He led the team that initiated an annual event at the Houston Food Bank in honor of the 9/11 National Day of Service that by its 5th year reached over 1,000 volunteers on one day. He has served on the United Way Young Leaders Council and is a graduate of the UW Project Blueprint program. He has served on the Board of Directors for the UH Bauer College Alumni Association, UH Hispanic Alumni Association and ALPFA - Association of Latino Professionals in Finance and Accounting and chaired the Public Relations Committee for the Houston CPA Society.
