Kris attended high school in Leavenworth, KS before beginning his career in the Kansas City area, working in sales for a large phone and internet company. He attended a local community college, studying HTML coding and website design. After contributing to the growth of many companies, he decided to build his own business. After that, his journey led him to Houston where he has been ever since. Kris began working for a Boutique Brokerage in 2017 where worked his way up to Director of Operations. After helping that team grow to a top team in the area, he decided to take on a new challenge as Client Care Coordinator for a new team. However, after spending 5+ years training agents, Kris finally decided to step into the transaction side of real estate, full time, as a Realtor with The Wolf Real Estate Group. After honing his skills as an full time agent, Kris has returned back to the Simien Team, where it all began.

Earning her real estate license in 2006, Kari had previously worked in the real estate industry for nearly a decade. Beginning in the title industry, while working for a real estate attorney in Virginia Beach where she grew up, she learned the techniques and strategies used by investors to acquire properties. After moving to Texas in 1998, it wasn't long before Kari began investing in real estate herself, purchasing both rentals and rehabilitation projects. Kari uses savvy negotiations and cutting-edge marketing strategies to join uncompromising integrity as the hallmark of her service. In 2019, Kari joined her husband Randy Barr in opening the new brokerage, Barr & Associates Real Estate, LLC. Their goal is simple: to foster the agent/client relationship. Giant brokerage houses focus on high volume and often diluted quality of service that often emphasizes the agent instead of the client. This is where their philosophy differs. For the Barr's, it's about building personal relationships. Thanks to her exceptionally loyal clientele, personal referrals and repeat business, Kari formed the foundation of her success. Leslie received her B.S. in Psychology from Texas A&M University in 2000 and her MBA from St. Thomas University in Houston in 2004. She stays active with her two children and husband in Friendswood.
