Growing up in the Northside of the Greater Houston Area, Rita has a deep understanding and is very familiar with all areas north of I-10 corridor. After graduating from Reagan (Now Heights) High School, she pursued her passion of Education and has a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication and Spanish from Texas State University and a Master of Education in Administration from Concordia University Texas. Rita recognized a new passion for real estate and took a leap of faith into a new industry.

Rita has a very strong work ethic and willingness to serve others. She is constantly striving to be a caring and understanding agent. Rita wants her clients to know she will always be honest and her number one goal is to be helpful and serve her clients at the highest level possible. Rita's integrity and competency as a professional are demonstrated by the work she did over the last 12 years as an Educator in the Houston Independent School District and other public school districts in Texas.

When she's not engaging in real estate transactions, you can find Rita traveling, watching sports, eating delicious local food, or spending quality time with her friends and family. Rita is a former teacher, coach, and school principal in HISD. One of her biggest goals is to buy a house with lots of land away from the city life. Diplomatic, conscientious, friendly, hard-working, compassionate, and detail oriented, Kathy understands the challenges that can arise in a real estate transaction and works hard to achieve her clients' goals with a minimum of stress and concern.

Prior to her career as a Realtor, Kathy worked as a registered pharmacist. Pharmacy has much in common with real estate, she notes. The primary focus of both is people, and communicating is of paramount importance. One cannot be effective as a pharmacist or a Realtor without fluid, two-way communication and follow-up. She also worked for several years as a pharmacist in a call center for Medicare D and earned a reputation for compassion and being able to gentle the most difficult personalities. I like to say I can 'fill' all of my clients' real estate needs.

Kathy drew on her skills to transition into residential real estate sales. My real estate career is a success because I never quit on people, adhere to a strict moral compass, and never ask anyone to do anything I'm not willing to do myself. I disclose all information and constantly guard my clients' interests.

Community is important to Kathy, and for her, community is global. She is a supporter of Hope for Haiti's Children and participated in a medical mission trip to the island that, in her words, changed my life. Kathy teaches Bible study and belongs to the Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association.

Kathy has three married daughters and six grandchildren. She is a member of Greenwood Forest Women's Club and enjoys live music, cooking, working out and traveling.

Finding a place to call home, or selling a place you have called home is one of the biggest financial decisions that people make. I strive to be that someone you can trust, and someone who can be there every step of the way helping you to make the best financial decisions when emotions are often running high. A true Native Houstonian, I was born and raised in Houston, went to the University of Houston, married, and have started raising my own family here! I have personally watched The Woodlands go from woods to an entire city, and have seen Gleannloch Farms go from a horse farm to an expansive master built community where thousands call home. My love for real estate began to develop my freshman year of college when my in-laws were building a house in the Woodlands themselves. I was out at the lot every weekend helping my husband and my father in law build their house from the foundation up. I poured concrete, framed, roofed, did the plumbing, hung drywall, and anything else you can think of. I know what goes into building a house, and the obstacles that arise during the process. Since my husband and I learned so much from that experience, we have become avid DIYers ourselves. One of my strengths is being able to walk into a house and seeing its full potential, and helping my clients (whether buying or selling) see that as well. I pride myself on being able to listen to my client’s wants and needs, and making those happen. If it is out there.. and you want it… I will find it!!!

In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family, watching my kids at swim team and baseball, being active at church where I sing on the praise team, and I am very involved in the PTO at my child's elementary school where I have been VP of Fundraising the last 2 years. If I really have spare time I always enjoy a round of golf with my husband!
