TYPES OF AUCTIONS Absolute: The property sells regardless of price. Often seen during home foreclosure proceedings. Sellers are often reluctant to participate in an absolute auction because they relinquish the right to reject an offer. Minimum-bid: The seller entertains offers above a certain price. Bids begin at the amount designated by the auctioneer, but the seller is still not obligated to sell to the winning bidder. Reserve: The seller accepts bids only if they’re above a secret minimum that the auctioneer doesn’t disclose to those bidding. So buyers can make an offer without any idea of whether it will actually be accepted.

    As your Realtor I get it! My husband and I moved across the country fourteen years ago from Northern Virginia to Houston, Texas. Not only was my husband working in Texas while I tried to sell our home but I had two young boys and three pets. Plus we picked the worst time to sell during one of the biggest real estate downturns. By the time our house hit the market we had eight other houses on our street for sale! But we pulled through with determination, patience and the help of a wonderful agent located here in Houston. Not only thatbut we ended up in an amazing neighborhood in Spring, Texas.
