Tomeka DeBruce, a Shreveport, LA native, honorably and proudly served her country in the United States Army for 25 years before retiring in 2018. Having traveled the world and lived in different places during her term of service, including other Texas cities, it was the vibrant hub of unique ethnic and cultural diversity and endless educational and career opportunities that drew her to the city of Houston where she earned a Master's Degree in Professional Communications and Digital Media from Texas Southern University. Go Tigers!!! During Tomeka's military service, she deployed to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom from 2013 to 2014. She also deployed to Soto Cano Honduras in support of Joint Task Force Bravo from 2010-2011. Tomeka has earned over 30 military awards, citations, and decorations, awarded for valor, leadership, education, and meritorious service. Tomeka learned advanced skills in leadership, teamwork, and organization, unique to the armed forces, and she brings them to bear in her Real Estate career to serve her buyers and sellers. Tomeka entered the Real Estate world because she wanted to emulate the wonderful experiences that she'd personally had with great agents as a buyer, while also meeting and helping new people accomplish homeownership, and she hasn't looked back.
