Her clients have become her friends – a part of the job that she particularly loves.

Sheri grew up in a family of real estate. Although she thought she would not seek such a career, she supported herself through college working in property management as a leasing agent and soon saw her natural talents develop. Then as now, she came to realize that real estate did not feel like a job, but a privilege. In residential sales, Sheri is able to indulge another of her passions – decorating. Added to the joy of helping people find their home, using her decorating skills, she takes great pleasure in helping clients see the possibilities that they might otherwise miss when considering a home, or assisting them in placing their furnishings at move in.

Between her years in property management and the success she enjoys now in residential sales, Sheri took a detour that added even more to her impressive resume – by opening and owning a boat dealership, building it to 22 million dollars a year in sales, with two locations and, in the process, negotiating numerous commercial leases and contracts to purchase buildings and land, as well as designing and building a showroom and service department. These transactions taught her amazing lessons from which she gained significant experience in the area of commercial real estate, another benefit to the buyers and sellers she works with today.

A native Houstonian, with a BA in Communications, with a specialty in Public Speaking, from the University of Houston, Sheri was raised in the Klein and Tomball area, but has also lived in the Galleria and West University areas so is quite familiar with many parts of the city. A single mom, she is devoted to her two daughters – the oldest who attends U of H, is on the Dean’s List, and studying BroadJournalism, and the youngest a cheerleader at Tomball High School who competes competitively as well.

While her career and her daughters keep her very busy, Sheri still finds time to give back to her community as a Lifetime Member of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, a Delta Zeta Alumni, and as a member of Salem Lutheran Church and the Tomball Cheer Booster Club.

    It's often been said that a home is a person's greatest investment. But everyone knows that a home is much more than that. It's a sanctuary, a place where memories are made, a place to unwind from the stresses of the outside world. That's why selling or buying a home is unlike any other transaction. And that's why I take my role in helping you buy or sell so seriously.

    I learned how important a Realtor is in the process while searching for my first home years ago. After a first outing to look at houses, the agent marched my husband and I into his office to demand that we make an offer on one of the three we had seen. Otherwise, he told us, we'd be wasting his time, since these were the best we could afford as first-time buyers.

    That was the last time we saw that agent. Instead, we found JoAnn. She was knowledgeable and competent and seemed much more interested in helping us than earning a quick commission. JoAnn helped us buy our first home, then listed and sold it. She helped us buy our second home and listed and sold that one, too.

    We moved out of the area and lost touch with JoAnn. But she served as an inspiration to me when I became a Realtor myself in 2009.

    Like JoAnn, I put the needs of my client first. I place a premium on honesty and integrity and never say something I don't believe just to get someone's business. I pay close attention to all the little details involved in a transaction and confess that I can be a worrier at times. I'd rather anticipate a problem and work to ward it off than be caught by surprise at the last moment by something that could potentially kill the deal.

    I'm a longtime Houston-area resident with a BA in communication. Skills honed during years of professional writing and editing experience mean I can make the listing of your home shine and communicate effectively with the title company, the lender, the appraiser, the other agent, and anyone else involved in the transaction.
