She grew up in Fort Lauderdale, FL and obtained her BA in Sociology from Wheaton College in Chicago, IL in 1999. After graduating, she moved to the California Bay Area for her husband to attend graduate school, finally landing in Texas in 2003. Since then, she cannot imagine calling anywhere else home.
