Buyer standpoint - purchasing a home from a family relocating

First home purchase -- bid accepted from a family relocating. We did inspection and initially had some requests but our agent made us feel like if we request too many details, we could lose detail. The listing agent and our agent are in same office. Agent requested that seller wanted to see inspection report. When agent asked us again we decided to not request really any updates so shouldn't be necessary but now saying the seller needs inspection report for relocation package. Is this common? Do buyers send sellers copy of inspection report free of cost? BTW, contract will be signed in 1-2 days so we aren't even in contract. help!

Hi Erica,

There are too many layers to your question that make it difficult to offer you advice, and it's also not a clear picture of what transpired.
My recommendation is that you speak with the broker. Even though both agents work in the same office, the broker acts as intermediary and cannot disclose any confidential information to the other party. Your broker will have the details necessary to provide you with a clear answer. You can also consult a Real Estate attorney if unsure.
Thank you,
