Agent won't send termination paperwork

My listing agent has been dishonest and in my opinion unethical. When I questioned her, she responded by suggesting hiring a different agent to sell my home. I've been waiting for the paperwork before I can hire someone else. I have sent emails cc'ing the broker requesting termination paperwork. It's now a week. Today I received any change of status MLS pin document with no explanation. I've read that I contract has to be terminated in writing. Just a few examples of many, sending us a picture of a buyers deposit with the offer but not actually ever receiving it. The buyer backed out and we had no recourse, 2 weeks after we agreed to drop the price $10,000 she dropped it $400 without telling us. Decided to respond to all ShowingTime requests instead of me and declined many requests and didn't tell us. Most issues I didn't realize until last week. I asked her about each issue can she answered none of it. I left a voicemail with the broker and she responded with a text that she agrees with the agent. We are distraught and overwhelmed. We have never been through this process so we've been learning as we go. We do know that we can't talk to another agent until they release us. We desperately need to sell. Is there anything we can do other than waiting a month for the listing to expire?

In regards to what may be going on with the sell of your home, I would like to wish you the best. This may be a legal matter that needs to be resolved. In the meantime, it does seem that you are keeping the lines of communication open to be the best advocate in ultimately reaching your goal of selling your home of which I say hang in there and this will all work it self out.

Julianne! Sorry to hear about your experience, I like to think that all things are for a reason and that things work out EXACTLY as they should every time! Plus, depending on specific scenarios, sometimes it's good to give listings a break from the market before re-listing! You are most definitely welcome to talk to any other professionals you'd like at any point in time, including other agents, UNLESS the listing agreement you signed says otherwise, of course. While none of us can advise you on what to do, a real estate attorney may be of much more assistance to you in this matter if you are adamant that you want something done ASAP, so that you may move along with listing again with another broker. I hope you have a MUCH better experience moving forth! If you have any other questions, feel free to reach out! 346-412-6603 codysellsproperty@gmail.com
