If I am currently on deferred adjudication will I be able to lease a home. I have not been convicted of anything.

At the moment I am on deferred adjudification and I was wondering if that would prevent me from leasing a home. I am not convicted of anything. Envy thing else of mine is perfect.

The best is to be 100% upfront with your prospective landlord. Each landlord has their own selection criteria. They can't refuse you purely on being on 'deferred adjudication'.

This would be taken into consideration if it shows up on your background check. I would double check if it would show up or not but you could write a letter of explanation to the landlord to disclose and explain your situation. Remember that there are lots of factors taken into consideration as well like rental history, credit score, income etc.

Each rental property manager or property owner has their own tenant screening requirements. The best thing you can do is to discuss this with the owner or property manager before submitting your application to try and determine if you meet the rental application requirements.
