if i put in an address and the home is not currently listed how can i it up to notify me if/when it

I've found MLS can't search for a property it currently doesn't have... it will just come back and tell you it couldn't find it. Soooo here's a work-around. up a consumer account. Go to the search engine and then click and/or checkbox your way through the search criteria that identify "this" house .. bedrooms, zipcode, name of neighborhood, etc. and then click "Save this Search". When you do that you will get a screen that says "Name this Search"...you should name it with the address for the home you had in mind...ie 123 Smith Street and check box the "Send me an Email". Now, when homes that fit that criteria come onto MLS you will receive emails that are titled "123 Smith Street" and below it will be links to all the properties that fit your criteria. Frequently, in addition to being interested in THAT house, you may also be interested in homes that fit what this house "has" in the same neighborhood .. so setting up your search this way will return to you THIS house as well as VERY similar ones as soon as they come onto MLS. If you mess up... just delete that saved search and go through the criteria again resetting it and renaming it -- you decide how broad or specific to your search criteria. Hope this helps. J

You can up a search for an address by choosing the quick search option on the bottom right hand side of any property catagory. After entering the address, save the search. It will then prompt you to name the search and then give you the option of an email alert. If you need any help setting it up, please feel free to call me. Best of luck with your property search!

If you plan on working with a Realtor, contact the Realtor you want to work with and ask to be setup with HAR's newest tool "Market Insight". Your Market Insight automatic reports and notifications will be based on the address you are focused on.
