How can I go about obtaining a survey of my residential property and what is the approximate cost?
1,016I am trying to refinance my house and the bank is asking for a survey for the property. I do not recall receiving one when I bought the house 13 years ago.

Once you google Land Surveyors, call a few of them and find out what kind of survey they provide (i.e. ALTA (lenders are looking for this type), plat, etc. and how much it costs. When I am representing a Seller or a Buyer who is reqposible for the survey, one of the services I provide is to give them a list of 3 reputable surveyors.

You can google and find surveyors in your area. Generally for a singe family house in a sub-division they cost somewhere around $350 to $550, to get a new survey. But if you know any Realtors in your area, they will have a recommended list of surveyors.
