Ray Molton worked his way through college by working for Wayne Calvert Racing Engines (where he became the head machinist). He graduated from North Texas State University with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Arts. While in college, he started his career in real estate by purchasing two homes and renting rooms out to fellow students. In 1990, he began his corporate career working for Circuit City as a grand opening manager for the Texas market. He wanted a career outdoors where he could enrich people’s lives, so over 20 years ago, he went back to school and became a real estate agent in Ruidoso, NM . While with Patten Corporation and Bluegreen Corporation he was one of the top 10 producers in the nation, year after year receiving many accolades and awards for excellence. With Bluegreen he worked in various markets including: Ruidoso NM, Dallas TX and later joined Bear Prince in the Houston area. During his time with Bear, he was promoted to the position of Houston Area Acquisitions Manager: responsible for locating properties for development, negotiation purchase contracts, land planning, market analysis and conducting feasibility studies. After Bluegreen downsized, Ray went to the Signorelli Company where he was responsible for acquisitions. While there developed a successful business plan to market Signorelli’s non-producing builder home sites. That successful business plan became the start of First American Homes. More recently, he was with Clayton Homes, where he quickly became a member of their Circle Club. During his time with Clayton Homes, he continued his real estate education and became a Texas Affordable Housing Specialist. In his real estate career, he has expert experience as both a buyers and a seller’s representative with over $25 million dollars in transactions ranging from $10,000 to $3,200,000.
