I started my real estate career in 2001 and I absolutely love it! In 2012 I earned my broker license and opened Amy Tapp Realty, a local real estate company. I have a passion for helping people find their dream home! It is very rewarding for me to help a first time home buyer, a parent buying a home for their college student, a family busting at the seams needing more space, an investor, an empty nester, a farmer needing to sell or buy, a business owner needing to buy or sell space, or builders! Whatever it is you are looking for, I have the experience to help you! My business is mostly referral based.  I strive to get to know my clients on a deeper level and to keep my relationship with them even after closing.  Buying a home should be fun, so forget any bad experiences you have had in the past! A large part of my professional work has been in the area of Education. Although not a native to West Texas, I made Lubbock my home in 1989, when I moved here to attend Texas Tech University. I was employed in the Public Relations department at Covenant Health System as a Coordinator who collaborated with non-profit agencies to assist with their efforts in fundraising. As a community liaison for Covenant I was involved in the implementation of teaching English as a Second Language and GED classes to parents of the students enrolled at Harwell Elementary. I also researched, developed and worked on fundraising with non-profit agencies in our community. In 2004 I served as a Lead-Teacher to develop and implement classroom lessons to facilitate support groups and training in life skills, refusal skills, coping skills, team building, adolescent issues, media literacy, drug education and violence prevention. I provided support to the director, for at-risk students and was also involved in research and development of curricula and resources. I am certified as a Spanish bilingual generalist, which has proven to be an invaluable skill that allowed me to provide bilingual parenting classes and conduct presentations to the Hispanic population in our community. Most recently, I served as a Tech Teach Site Coordinator and Instructor in the Teacher Education program at Texas Tech University. Having lived in Lubbock for nearly 30 years, I am proud to say that I consider Lubbock to be my hometown and I am excited about helping you with your new hometown. Come see what our city has to offer.
