Grew up in a West Texas farming and cattle community of Amarillo with an identical twin brother. Joined the Navy, to see the world, served on two different ships. Traveled extensively in the Pacific and the Orient, seeing, learning and experiencing new cultures, "we're not in Texas anymore", and became fascinated about how other people live.

Came home with the traveling bug still in my system and became an over-the-road truck driver. Driving from coast to coast and experiencing even more diversified cultures across America. Moved to Dallas, TX and tried city bus driving for a while and eventually ended up in the Houston, TX area living in a Marina on a boat and learning a completely new way of life. As a Loss Control Consultant traveling the state of Texas driving every highway, back road and farm road in the state encountering an amazing number of people to visit with and sharing their way of life and mine.
