I am a native Houstonian who grew up in Bellaire. I fondly remember the "small town" feeling my neighbors and I had in the City of Homes.

I went to school at the University of Texas at Austin and obtained a degree in Journalism. My husband Scott and I raised our twins in Meyerland and I am proud to say that I was a 1986 Bellaire High School grad and the twins, Max and Brandon, were 2016 Bellaire grads.

I became a real estate agent in 2007 and became a broker in 2010 so I could run my own comps and list my own properties. I have flipped several homes in the Houston area and helped other investors do the same. In addition to flipping homes, I have sponsored agents, helped clients find the perfect home or investment, managed real estate brokerages, performed transaction coordination and managed a few rental homes on my own.

In 2018, I became a real estate instructor . This has been one of the most rewarding parts of my career because it gave me the privilege of imparting real estate knowledge to newer agents, since I am forever grateful for the agents who helped me while I was learning on the job. In this endeavor, I am available to teach continuing education courses, brokerage training courses or design training material and processes for brokerages in need of assistance.

Wayne Rutledge is currently holds a Real Estate Broker License in the State of Texas and the owner of RUTLEDGE REAL ESTATE LLC, which is also known as RUTLEDGE COMMERCIAL REAL ESTATE. His firm specializes in various aspects of real estate, including commercial and residential real estate opportunities in sales, industrial, office, and retail transactions. This includes property acquisitions, exchanges, purchases, and leasing transactions. Wayne's professional journey began years ago in the retail auto finance industry, where he worked for companies like GMAC, Bank One, and CitiBank. However, he transitioned into the real estate field and obtained his Texas Real Estate Sales License in 2007. He gained valuable experience in commercial real estate by working with his father at Ed Rutledge Associates for five years, during which time he obtained his Texas Real Estate Broker License. In 2012, Wayne and his wife Laurie organized RUTLEDGE REAL ESTATE LLC, which operates as RUTLEDGE COMMERCIAL REAL ESTATE. In addition to his real estate career, Wayne has been actively involved in various community and professional organizations. He has served on the Eastpoint Property Owners Association Board of Directors in Baytown, the Klein Oak Strutters Booster Club, and the Clear Lake Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. Outside of his professional and community involvement, Wayne enjoys various hobbies, including traveling, landscaping, and golf. Notably, he has earned Legacy status in CHEVRON HOUSTON MARATHON completing 35 marathons. He now has participated in the ARAMCO HALF MARATHON for eight years running.
