Janice is a California girl at heart, having moved from Anaheim, CA to El Paso,TX as a chiild. She grew up in El Paso and in 2008, moved to Houston with her fiance Nick. They got married in 2009 and ultimately settled in and created a home in Katy. Her background working with customers in restaurants and later in the medical field, prepared her for a career in Real Estate. The high level of customer service she offered to her clients during these years carried over to ensure that her real estate clients receive the same level of service, communication and patience. An enthusiastic animal lover her whole life, she has a passion for volunteering with a number of rescue organizations in fundraising, fostering and aiding rescued animals. Something she has done most of her life. She has four furbabies of her own, Tucker, Gizmo, Bailey and newest addition Milo. Who remind her everyday of the gift of unconditional love. Her passion for rescue of these animals has cemented lasting relationships with many of her clients who are dog lovers or have rescued pets themselves. Julie Pickett is dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of excellence in all she does and the results speak for themselves. She has spent her entire real estate career at Heritage Texas Properties until its merger with Better Homes & Garden Gary Green in August of 2019. Julie has been a Top Producer every year since 2013.

Her attention to detail and communication skills have served her well in real estate. Clients trust her experience to navigate sometimes stressful real estate transactions with grace and aplomb. Diplomatic, and loyal to the core, she is a keen negotiator, and someone who can recognize the first signs of complication and act quickly to make things right. Her clients also adore her warm personality, her honesty and her integrity. She makes it her business to collect all the intelligence she can about the local market trends in the Katy, Fulshear, and Richmond communities where she concentrates her real estate practice. She has worked, played, and volunteered in the area for 20 years. She has sold real estate from all strata of price points luxury, re-sale, new construction, investment.

Before earning her real estate license, Julie managed a corporate legal department until 2000. That business background served her well when she joined Heritage Texas Properties in 2006. She worked as an assistant, learning all aspects of the buying and selling process, and listing foreclosures which were plentiful through 2008. Adapting to the ever-changing market, she became a full-time realtor handling relocation inventory, and more traditional buyers and sellers in 2009.

When she isn't working, Julie loves to spend time with her family, volunteering, and being active.
