Kelly was raised in Friendswood but moved away to live in New York City for a while where he pursued a career in acting. When he returned to the Lone Star state, he spent seven years teaching at Katy ISD. The two career paths served him well when he launched his real estate practice. Both jobs have given him a unique understanding of how people communicate, what to listen for, how to solve problems, and how to see things that might not be obvious, like potential value in a home or a neighborhood a client may not have considered.

Kelly is enthusiastic, and always on the lookout for ways to help guide his clients through the sometimes topsy-turvy world of Houston real estate. When he's not working, Kelly enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters and serving in his church.

Kevin was born in Indiana and graduated from Indiana University. He married his high school sweetheart Marla Newbauer and moved to Katy in 1996 with their daughter Jessica (who now lives in Boston with her husband and new daughter). He has been a homeowner in Heritage Grand in Cinco Ranch for the last 12 years. After spending the first 28 years as a buyer and wholesale importer he sold his business. Kevin has negotiated his entire career with retailers and manufacturers and has been obsessed with attention to detail and customer service. These attributes have transferred nicely to the real estate business. Kevin's acumen in negotiating and putting his clients first has quickly helped him in being a successful Real Estate agent. A little about me:

After graduating from University of Texas at Austin and teaching middle school for 13 years, I began my real estate career in 2005 primarily as a real estate investor, where I was doing short sales before they became the “Transaction Du Jour”. As I began doing more business as a “realtor”, I discovered how truly passionate I am about this industry, and I loved what I did for a living.

A lifelong learner I am; I began networking, reading, taking classes, earning designations… basically doing whatever I could to learn as much as possible about this exciting industry. As a result, I earned my Broker’s License in 2009; I am also a Certifed Relocation Expert and an Accredited Buyer’s Representative (ABR), New Home Sales Specialist, Luxury Home Specialist, and a Foreclosure Expert (SFR).

I spend an enormous amount of time staying up to date on the latest real estate trends, especially when it comes to technology. It's a "brave new world" out here, and I make it my personal mission to fine tune my marketing capabilities by keeping abreast of all the new and impactful ways that I can differentiate myself from my competition. I understand that in today’s changing market the key to success is knowing and understanding your market area as well as implementing and managing successful marketing strategies. It is also critical to have some fierce negotiation skills.

In late 2009, my business branched off the short sale track and into the luxury home market. I find myself doing a little bit of both. I absolutely love the real estate industry. It is exciting, rewarding, and best of all …. challenging. I love a good challenge.
