I am a realtor for one reason. I want you to have a better experience than I had myself. Here's what I mean, I've had some bad experiences a time or two with real estate agents in the past who behaved unethically, falsifying documents, and disclosing privileged information to others, To be fair, I've also had wonderful experiences with agents who never said no through the many times my wife and I explored the possibility of owning our own home, and who went the xtra mile, finding us property before it even made it to market. So, when I found myself ready to retire from teaching, I took the plunge and went to school to become a real estate agent myself. Since then, I've been told time and again by clients and other agents, as well, that they appreciate my open and honest approach to real estate. Let me give you a little background. I was shaped as a child by divorce, a cross-country relocation, frequent moves, economic instability, and a difficult home life. I took a lot of that into my marriage, and ended up moving from job to job and rental home to rental home for an entire decade. Eventually maturity caught up with me (or I with it) and I settled down to become a pastor and a public school teacher. Now I am retired from both, but I continue to educate and serve; only now real estate is my subject and my clients are my flock. I currently work for Heart of Texas Real Estate and Management Company, an independent, full-service real estate brokerage located in Huntsville, Texas. I cannot tell you how excited I am to be working at an local office with a 35 year history.
