With more than 15 years in luxury home experience, Damian Derby combines his experience of a Houston renowned home builder with his talents in marketing, selling and evaluating properties for his clients. Colby is a sixth-generation Texan and was born in central Texas. Growing up, Colby's family lived abroad, his youngest years were spent living in Malaysia and his formative years at a private British school outside London in Surrey County. While still in his youth, Colby moved to Houston and completed high school. He completed his education at Texas Tech University with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration. Prior to working in Real Estate, Colby worked as a teacher, serving Houston's underprivileged neighborhoods. He then worked in finance at one of the biggest bond investors in Houston. Colby also worked for Amazon where he specialized in improving customer service. He has used all the experiences and skills he has learned to rapidly succeed as a Realtor. In his spare time, Colby loves walking his two Goldendoodles, Argos and Luna, working-out, and spending time with friends and family. He is passionate about water-related activities, including water skiing, wakeboarding, swimming, and snorkeling. Spending time at his family's lake house in Livingston, TX or the beach is his happy place.

Proud Houstonian, Texas A&M alumni, Father and Realtor for 14 years and counting! My story begins after I graduated from Texas A&M Mays Business School in 2010 with a bachelor's in Business Marketing. My passion for real estate started in college and has allowed me to work with many of Houston's most prestigious real estate firms such as: Marcus & Millichap, Sudhoff Properties, Boulevard Realty and now New Leaf Real Estate. I have been blessed to have been coached by some of Houston's top brokers and real estate teams. This experience has made me into the hard-working, knowledgeable and respected agent that I am today. I have also been fortunate to be awarded into the million-dollar producers club by the Greater Houston Builders Association or GHBA. For over a decade, I have built long-lasting relationships with a variety of clients and to-date have successfully closed over 50 million dollars of sold transactions including residential and commercial properties. On a more personal note, I was born in Montreal, Canada; where most of my close family lives today. Houston has since become my home and after years of living in the lone star state I think I am now a true Texan; minus the cowboy boots! Biking, lacrosse, traveling, art exhibits, live music, and just being outdoors in nature are some of my favorite hobbies.
