Born in El Salvador, along with her teenage sister, Maria was adopted at the age of 14 by a family in Maine. She now makes her home in Brenham, Texas, and is the mother of a beautiful daughter named Mariah.
In her spare time, she enjoys playing soccer, horseback riding, cooking and reading Christian books. Because she feels so blessed to have been adopted herself, orphan ministry is her passion. She wants to be a voice for orphans and supports several orphanages in Central America.
