Prior to working as a Realtor, I spent 15 years at advertising agencies in New York City and in Houston, where I lead client contract negotiations, managed multi-million dollar budgets and supervised internal teams, while ensuring deadlines were met and the work was of the highest quality.

Annie knows firsthand the uncertainty and opportunity that accompany a major relocation half-way around the globe. Annie earned a BA degree in International Business Studies from Texas A&M University (minor in Tourism Science) and started her professional career as international sales lead for a global supplier of electronic hardware and components. After eight successful years, she transitioned to the hospitality industry, working and managing trade shows and hosting corporate events. She has had the opportunity to work with and represent multi-national Fortune 500 companies in the technology, automotive and oil & gas sectors. Originally from San Antonio,TX, Mayra Lainez has lived on Galveston Island for 11 years. This has given her the opportunity to build an extensive network and build close relationships with local businesses and people. She became a licensed real estate agent in 2005 and again 2021, and is bilingual (fluent in English and Spanish). While Mayra enjoys showcasing the historical architecture and beach houses that the gulf coast has to offer, building relationships is her favorite part of being in real estate. She is also the owner of a local cleaning business, "Lana's Island Cleaning." In her free time she enjoys reading, spending time with loved ones, beach volleyball, and attending church on Sundays.
