Native Houstonian Kristin Hite Dorsey knew that sales would be her career when she was still a college student at Louisiana State University - and it was the perfect choice. “Since the 1940s, my family has owned Norton Ditto Men’s Fine Clothing, founded in 1908, and I learned at an early age that a big part of sales is building relationships and understanding and meeting customers’ needs,” Kristin says. “Everyone is very different and as a salesperson, you must be open to anything. When you create a friendship, you create loyalty. I genuinely care about people in general and LOVE helping my clients. I find it incredibly rewarding, and at the end of each long day, I am happy and content when I know I have helped to guide them in the right direction.”
Kristin’s father-in-law is the founder and president of Dorsey Custom Homes, where her husband also works, and her mother-in-law is the founder and owner of Longoria Collection. “I think my biggest asset is being able to work very closely with my husband and mother-in-law,” Kristin says. “They help me prepare my listings by staging or by sending their contractors to do repairs and get the property in the best possible condition. They have also met with buyers to help them visualize a remodel or to review inspection reports and give repair estimates. The simple truth is that homes with great curb appeal and homes that are super clean, well-maintained and have pleasing décor sell faster and for more money than homes that don’t measure up.”
Kristin’s earlier career was in medical sales where she learned the importance of remaining patient and communicating effectively. “Learning how to read people and connect with them is paramount,” Kristin says. “As a Realtor, I am able to combine my love of meeting new people with my analytical skills to really service their needs whether they are buyers or sellers. I also like looking at different interior design techniques. It opens my mind and educates me as to what is “hot” in the market today, and that is valuable information I share with my clients.”
Kristin’s roots run deep in the Tanglewood area where she grew up. Like her mother and many aunts and cousins, she attended St. Michael Catholic School and then St. Agnes Academy. She is married to home-builder Thomas Dorsey, Jr., and they have an infant son. When not working, Kristin enjoys running, walking with friends, visiting with her family, and traveling to Maine in the summer.
Tracey Smith brings creativity, passion and a love for client relationships to her career as a real estate sales associate at Martha Turner Sotheby's International Reaty. A genuine excitement for luxury residential real estate drives Tracey to consistently research Houston's market trends. While Tracey focuses on traditional inner-loop and close-in neighborhoods with her clients, she also forges relationships with builders and developers working on new construction projects in desirable neighborhoods all over Houston. In late 2016, just eight short months into Tracey's career as a real estate agent, she had already closed 12 million in transactions. This accomplishment earned her the status of a top producer, and she received the 2016 Shoot for the Stars Award at her previous brokerage. Prior to pursuing real estate, Tracey spent 18 years in the luxury hotel business representing The Breakers Hotel in Palm Beach, Florida and the Cloister Hotel in Sea Island, Georgia. Her role involved placing corporate executives in elegant accommodations for board meetings and conferences. Tracey's customer-centered approach earned her many repeat clients and accolades for her tenacious and confi dent manner. She applies that same focus, positive att itude and determination as a Realtor. Her ethos comes from her father who told her if she wanted to be a success to put on your blinders and run your own race. Though Tracey has been a resident of Texas for 25 years, she maintains her strong Midwestern values of honesty, patience and trustworthiness from her childhood in Cincinnati, Ohio. Tracey came to Texas to study at Southern Methodist University, where she earned a bachelor's degree in business administration with a minor in art history. While in college, she fell in love with Texas and its culture and made the state her permanent home. When she is not working, Tracey enjoys traveling, running marathons, playing tennis and golfi ng.
Tracey brings creativity, passion, and deep knowledge of the Houston luxury real estate market to the Heritage Texas team. She was a 2016 Top Producer and a 2016 Shoot For The Stars award winner, and for good reason: her ability to get things done is appreciated by clients, peers, and co-workers alike.
