I have been a Real Estate Professional for 43 years. My parents owned a real estate office so I grew up in the business. My vast experience and knowledge of the real estate market and mortgage process always results in finding the right property for my clients. My negotiating ability gives my clients an advantage. My wife Debbie and I work as a team. Debbie handles the processing and with her background as a mortgage broker she has the ability to help clients understand the loan process. I am a top HUD and bank foreclosure specialist with over 15 years. Our years of experience in not only good markets, but also in the down markets, attest to our ability to adjust in changing times. I am highly motivated in the Real Estate market in Galveston County. I have bought and sold several homes, as well as managed my own vacation rental in Galveston since 2009. I moved to Houston in 1991, from Ohio, and spent 25 years in the Oil and Gas Industry working in Project Management and Finance. I retired and moved to Galveston in 2016. Leveraging my experience as a successful business owner and as a team player working with Fortune 500 companies, I am known for outstanding client service with 24/7 availability, high tech marketing techniques, and a skilled negotiator with my client's best interest at heart. I believe strongly that it is not only my duty to represent my clients to the best of my ability, but also to educate them through every step of the process armed with top notch information and market insight so my clients can make the best decisions possible. I am a firm believer in giving back and am passionate about several things, including animal rescue. I am a volunteer at the Galveston Humane Society and foster kittens and puppies for adoption, as well as being actively involved in the TNR program. I, also donate to Wounded Warriors and Shriner's Children's Hospital in Galveston. In my free time, I enjoy running, kayaking, walking the beach and social events, as a member of several committees on the Island.

Dakota Garcia has real estate in her blood! She's a second-generation Realtor® who combines her love for the real estate industry with her passion for marketing. Before real estate, Dakota was in the Marketing Department for Yaga's Entertainment, Inc. The advertising skills that she learned in that position have crossed over into her real estate business – both traditional and digital skills. Dakota earned a Bachelor's Degree in Public Relations from Stephen F. Austin State University, and with this foundation, she places an emphasis on stellar customer service and thorough communication. Whether you are buying or selling property, Dakota works to provide a smooth transaction process and the necessary guidance to ensure advantageous outcomes. As a member of Chi Omega Fraternity, Dakota deeply enjoys her time volunteering and fundraising for the Make-A-Wish foundation, an organization very dear to her heart. Her hobbies include traveling, kayaking, exploring the West End neighborhoods on her golf cart, playing bingo and spending time at her family's' ranch in the Hill Country.

Barbara has been selling homes on Galveston Island since 1999. Although she specializes in West End resort property, she also loves helping clients find historic homes in Galveston’s unique neighborhoods. As a former Houstonian who bought her first home in Galveston as a weekend retreat, she easily identifies with the needs of second home buyers who want a tranquil escape.

Having twenty five years in the airline industry prior to becoming a Realtor®, Barbara understands the importance of customer service. She was among the top producers in the West End real estate prior to joining Sand ‘N Sea Properties and she credits her customer service training as a big part of her success.

Professional affiliations include: Galveston Association of Realtors®, Texas Association of Realtors® and National Association of Realtors®. She also is an Accredited Buyer’s Representative and has taken many courses including those focusing on selling luxury properties and staging homes. Barbara’s degree is in sociology with a minor in history and Spanish.

Civic and social organizations include the Executive Career Women of Galveston where she served as Vice President, the Jamaica Janes Women's Club and the Dough Girls, a local investment club where she has served as an officer; the First Thursday Bunch, and Galveston Country Club. She has also volunteered at the Silk Purse Thrift Shop and was on the Board of Directors of the Diocese of Texas Episcopal Church Women and currently serves as a member of Grace Church Foundation Board.

Traveling is a special love for Barbara along with visiting museums, playing bridge and enjoying friends and neighbors. Most special to her is walking on the beach in Galveston or any other beach!. Barbara has two children and three grandchildren in Texas and Georgia.
