A Little About Me-

My interest and passion for Real Estate began in the early 1990's, when my husband and I were beginning the search for our first home. Since then, we have moved 6 times and lived in 4 cities in Texas. Four of these moves included building our new home. I just love the process and, yes, we are still happily married!



In the early 2000's, we continued our Real Estate adventure and purchased, remodeled and flipped 2 properties in the North Houston area. I would have to say that our very latest endeavors have been my favorite, so far. In 2019, we purchased a 1913 historic cottage, in Galveston, and completely remodeled it. We maintained the historic features and charm of the home, while bringing it up to date with all the modern conveniences. The home was featured on the GHF Historic Home Tour in 2021. We are now working on a 1900 Storm Survivor, that will hit the market soon! Having lived on the island in my youth, I grew to love everything about Galveston. I want to share that love and experience with others and can't wait to help you find your perfect Island home.

Born on Galveston Island and raised in Beaumont, Texas, my family has deep roots in the state, spanning over 200 years. As a real estate agent, I prioritize my clients and their families. Native Texan Darlene Stewart hails from McAllen but got to Galveston as soon as she could. She considers herself, if not "BOI" then the next closest thing. Prior to her career in residential real estate, Darlene worked in property development and management, where she gained experience in working with builders, developers and tenants, and learned the value of excellent customer service.

Darlene enjoys the opportunity real estate offers to work with a variety of people, helping them to achieve home ownership. Possessed of a strong ethic, she goes the extra mile for her clients to help them realize their dreams. Darlene’s knowledge of the Galveston primary and secondary home markets, particularly on the west end (where she lives), and her dedication to her clients make her the Realtor of choice for many Galvestonians and Houstonians alike.

Married and the mother of a son, Darlene enjoys time with her family and volunteering at her church.

With these corporate moves, she realized her true passion was real estate as she bought and sold multiple properties, both personal and vacation homes. The same professional skills developed in these leadership roles now serve as the foundation for her successful career in the industry.
