Before she became a Realtor in 2011 (and for years after), she worked for a vacation rental and property management company in Galveston for several years. For the company, she played every role at one time or another, including taking on new vacation rental properties all over the island, taking property photos and listing the properties online for rentals, working with owners to make sure their properties were generating a satisfactory ROI while being marketed efficiently, attending Chamber of Commerce events to educate herself further about the industry, everything property management related, leasing unfurnished long-term rentals and many other tasks. This experience alone gave her an extensive knowledge of marketing, property management, Galveston island itself, vacation rentals and more! This has been very helpful to her when helping her clients in every aspect of real estate.

In 2004, Jana Turner, a native Houstonian, decided to permanently trade in her city life for the laid-back lifestyle of Galveston Island. I have always had a passion for helping people, I was a registered nurse for many years as well as a personal trainer. I currently live on Dickinson Bay with my husband where we enjoy hosting guest, playing with our dogs, and evening golf cart rides.
