I am a fourth generation native Houstonian. After graduating from the University of Texas in Austin, I started my career as a marketing & communications project manager. I draw from this background in my dynamic approach to home sales which includes professional photography, video, detailed descriptions and print marketing.

I owned my first home at the age of 26, which my father and I built together. My pursuit of the masterpiece home has continued since with additional new construction and renovation projects. My passion is imagining what a piece of real estate can become. As a Realtor, I supply the guidance and resources my clients need to create their vision of HOME. My name is Jim Burdette. I am a Realtor/Consultant with Berkshire Hathaway Home Services. I am licensed to practice law in both Texas and Louisiana. However, I no longer practice law. I am a full-time real estate agent. I am also a cancer survivor. I began practicing real estate after beating lymphoma.

My Real Estate career began in the early 2000's but then took a break to work from home as a production manager for a publishing company while my children went through their school years. Fifteen years later with my children grown and on their own I decided to return to my passion of helping people through the often stressful process of selling and buying real estate. Having grown up in and raised my own family in the Katy area since 1978 it was a natural decision for me to specialize in this area that I know so well.Raising three children while working with a monthly deadline job for multiple publications, provided me with important tools that carryover into making me a valuable asset as a Realtor: patience, negotiating skills, knowing how to tackle deadlines with ease, acute attention to detail and knowing the importance of keeping in constant communication with clients.
