What special or unique characteristics do you feel you would bring to the Director position that would most benefit HAR's members?

As a former educator I have a passion for education and leadership. Because of my experience I understand that one method does not fit all, and it is my mission to bring my innovative thinking to the board to enhance the organization.

What do you believe is the greatest challenge facing our industry today?

The biggest challenge facing our industry today is immediate gratification. We are in a time where individuals expect things to happen right away without hard work. As a listing agent I am noticing many of our fellow agent fail to read and review the agent remarks. We are moving so fast trying to move on to the next thing we miss what is important. HAR has done an amazing job with providing the information and enhancing our services. I believe HAR is playing their part, but as a community or Realtors we must do ours. Let's make knowing FUN!

Community/Charitable Involvement

I currently serve as the Acres Homes Super Neighborhood Council President where I serve my community as the liaison between the residents and the City of Houston. I am the first line of communication for community contact. I have previously served as the President of Women's Council of the National Association of Real Estate Brokers. As the National President it was my job to ensure the mission of the organization was upheld by the local presidents. Women's Council of NAREB serves as the community service arm of NAREB and we facilitated that through financial literacy classes and community outreach.

Political Involvement

I have made contributions to TREC.
