What special or unique characteristics do you feel you would bring to the Director position that would most benefit HAR's members?

During my career I have had the opportunity to scale teams and organizations locally and across the country. This has given me an opportunity to understand the business at a much larger scale. I have also had the opportunity to launch the young professionals division for Keller Williams International. As previously stated, I have also had the opportunity to train and coach hundreds of agents. All of these have honed my leadership skills and knowledge of the complexities and intricacies of our industry. These have also reinforced that my passion lies in helping grown and develop real estate agents.

What do you believe is the greatest challenge facing our industry today?

While the NAR settlement is at the forefront of most people’s minds, I believe the biggest challenge for our industry is a well rounded knowledge of business in general. Since the barrier to entry into this industry is low, we see many agents who are more of hobbyists than business owners. I think HAR has taken the first steps in offering opportunities for our members to increase their business acumen I think there are more opportunities to create what I call a “real estate business MBA” One of the most important topics agents need now centers around their finances. For years I have seen agents with high levels of production that have no money in their bank account and high debt. Offering more opportunities for them to increase their financial knowledge would be a huge win for HAR.

Community/Charitable Involvement

Personal and professional growth is a topic I am passionate about. As a result, I have sought out many opportunities to share the lessons I have learned with others. I have been a guest lecturer, speaker and mentor at Texas A&M in both Mays Business School and the College of Agriculture. Influencing and motivating the next generation of business leaders has been a truly rewarding experience. Locally, I have spent many hours volunteering at the Houston Food Bank. Scheduling time to volunteer is a very simple and easy process and because of that, I have been able to get friends involved and volunteering regularly.

Political Involvement

I have been a TREPAC investor and have been a major investor multiple years.
