What special or unique characteristics do you feel you would bring to the Director position that would most benefit HAR's members?

I’m somewhere in the middle of the experience radar for our members. I’m not so far in that I’ve forgotten what it’s like to be new to the industry and association, but I have enough years behind me to really understand our industry and association from a higher level. I’m a new mom, a wife, a business owner, a friend, a community member and so much more. Just like all of you I’m balancing so many balls on a daily basis. I don’t think that’s “unique” I think that is most of us, and hopefully you can relate to that. When I became a licensed Broker I also wanted to finish my MBA. I graduated with a focus on International Business in 2021. I have a proven track record of being able to keep the balls in the air and I would embrace the time commitment the Board of Directors requires. I’ve served our association through committee work for 5+ years. I plan to continue to serve on the committees I love even once being elected to the Board. I’ve observed, learned and soaked in so much from the leaders I’m currently surrounded by. I hope to continue to grow and lead, and set a firm foundation for all of the young women who may follow. A unique fact about me is that I also sell Real Estate in Turks & Caicos, and also personally operate short term rentals & a long term rental portfolio. I co-own a custom pool company, and I’m currently working on my first commercial ground up build investment which has been challenging but an awesome learning experience!

What do you believe is the greatest challenge facing our industry today?

Our biggest challenges moving forward will be ethics & professional standards. While we may not have control of what is to come with the NAR lawsuit settlement, how we react as an association, how we treat eachother and how we move forward as a professional body is largely in our hands. I want a seat at the table to help enforce our professional standards. This is a crucial time in our industry where we must ban together to move forward. I want to ensure the association is a safe place for all. Where all members feel safe both in person and online, and where all members feel comfortable coming forward if and when necessary.
