What do you believe is the greatest challenge facing our industry today?

Today's real estate industry confronts new challenges, and the Houston Association of Realtors (HAR) Board of Directors is well-positioned to address these through proactive advocacy, education, and innovation. 1. Economic Uncertainty and Market Volatility: Challenge: Economic shifts impact affordability and market expectations. HAR's Role: We will provide data-driven market insights, host regular economic outlook webinars, and promote policies that stabilize our housing market. 2. Regulatory Changes and Compliance: Challenge: Complex regulations at multiple levels create substantial compliance challenges. HAR's Role: We will act as a central resource for regulatory updates and offer extensive compliance training through workshops, continuing education courses, and focused lobbying efforts. 3. Sustainable Development and Green Real Estate: Challenge: The growing demand for sustainable homes sets new industry standards. HAR's Role: We will promote sustainability through specialized education and certification programs, organize green real estate events, and advocate for eco-friendly policies. By tackling these challenges head-on, HAR can empower our members and lead the industry towards a more stable, innovative, and sustainable future.
