What special or unique characteristics do you feel you would bring to the Director position that would most benefit HAR's members?

Our national and local industry is in the very young stages of new business models that pose a concern to a majority of agents. Because of my extensive experience in the music industry, I have seen firsthand how businesses, large and small, navigate change, adapt to new methods, and remain successful. Inversely, I have seen firsthand how businesses have refused to adapt, and ultimately fail. Likewise, my sheer persistence and entrepreneurial spirit are personal characteristics I believe all HAR members can respect. My wife and I do not hide the fact that we struggled our first year as REALTORS®. Where many would have quit, we helped each other stay motivated and kept going. It’s these struggles that required us to work so hard, and led us to success. I believe HAR members need someone representing them who has lived out this principle.

What do you believe is the greatest challenge facing our industry today?

Many may say that the rise in new business models is the number one threat to our industry. I believe, however, that because of this environmental shift, our greatest challenge is effectively communicating to consumers the value of a REALTOR ®. It’s imperative during this pivotal time that our association leads the way in not only boosting public perception, but also consistently holding its members to a higher standard in ethics & quality of service.

I currently hold the Accredited Buyer’s Representative and the National Association of REALTORS® Green Designations. I am also currently participating in the Texas REALTORS® Leadership Program.

Community/Charitable Involvement

I’m an active volunteer at Real Life Church in Tomball where I served as volunteer youth staff from December 2014 through September 2017. I’ve been volunteering weekly in the Children’s Ministry since January of 2017. I have been heavily involved in the WatchD.O.G.S., a part of the National Center for Fathering, at Danish Elementary (Cy-Fair ISD) since September 2013. I was a part of the Leadership Team for A21’s Walk for Freedom HTX in 2016. I have been working with the Judah Brown Project to end child drowning and promote water safety since November 2016. For the past two years I’ve been raising money for Wreaths Across America during the holiday season.

Political Involvement

I give annually to TREPAC and help promote its advocacy. In 2016, I helped promote Dr. Tom Oliverson in his bid running for State Representative for District 130, because of his strong stance on property rights and limiting and lowering taxation.
