Joel Braswell is a second generation Realtor. Since 1986 Joel has helped clients purchase well over 1,000 homes. As a real estate broker, former mortgage broker, and former real estate company co-owner, he has an extensive background in all things real estate related, including relocation and new construction.
After starting out selling new construction for builders, Joel transitioned into the resale business. Joel and his associates developed a word-of-mouth following that grew into a very successful boutique firm. Ultimately, he saw that his clients needed access to a wider range of services plus the economies of scale that only a large company could offer.
Once freed from management responsibilities, Joel's sales success continued to grow and his list of devoted clients lengthened. He's known for his honesty and candid real estate advice, with his one of his favorite questions being "Do you want me to tell you what you want to hear, or what you NEED to hear?"
Joel has been ranked individually among his former company's top producers year after year. He has also been recognized and commended for his efforts by Fannie Mae, North American Mortgage, First Gibraltar, plus numerous builders and developers. Joel is a former competitive swimmer, was an avid fencer at Texas A&M, and is a devoted outdoorsman who enjoys fishing, hiking, archery, canoeing, canine agility, organic gardening, and almost anything else involving the outdoors. He is one of the few individuals to canoe the full length of the Devils River without a guide, and his photos taken in a remote part Gates of the Arctic National Park and Preserve have been featured in a book on North American National Parks. Prior to suffering a knee injury, he also completed a full Marathon in Houston, TX on his first try. Since 2009, when his daughter, Jules, started kindergarten, Joel has also been an active parent reader and Global Volunteer in Cypress Fairbanks School District. In the fall of 2018, Joel was proud to be invited to join Coldwell Banker United, Realtors.
